The shiatsu

What is Shiatsu?
Shiatsu is a Japanese acupressure technique (pressure with the thumbs and hands on acupuncture points).
It is based on the foundations of traditional Chinese medicine.

Why a Shiatsu session?
Thanks to the pressure, shiatsu allows to relax the muscles but it also acts on the meridians.

Shiatsu can be beneficial in the following cases:

  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Muscle problems
  • Digestive problems
  • Sleep disorders

* Shiatsu does not replace medical advice and cannot replace medication prescribed by your doctor!

Course of a session
The session starts with a discussion period (anamnesis) during which the patient explains his medical history and his expectations for this session.
This allows the therapist to know the areas to be treated, to be avoided or to be careful with.
Then the therapist can start the treatment and apply pressure on the appropriate points.
At the end of the session, another discussion period is taken to get feedback from the patient and to answer any questions the patient may have.

Additional information
The massage is performed in clothing, so please wear loose-fitting clothes (e.g. jogging suits, sportswear, etc.).
No oils or essential oils are used during the massage.
